Jamie Hayes replaces Paul Malpas after a decade in the role

Nordea Asset Management has hired Jamie Hayes as director of UK wholesale distribution, replacing Paul Malpas who has held the role for a decade.

Hayes joins from RBC Global, where he spent eight years working within the European distribution team, having previously served as a fund analyst and fixed income strategist for the London-based asset manager.

In his new role, Hayes will focus on strengthening Nordea’s presence in the UK wholesale market, following its recently launched sustainable listed real assets and global climate engagement strategies fund, which the firm say has had “considerable” UK investor interest.

Hayes said: “I am very excited to join a group with the breadth and quality of public and private market solutions, which will help investors navigate the challenging market conditions. Nordea Asset Management has long been known as a leader in ESG and for building forward-thinking sustainable investment strategies.”

Malpas will move to a new role at Nordea, tasked with developing the group’s Canadian market presence.
